MIS - Match Importance Score

Understand how CupIndex's Match Importance Score (MIS) rates match significance from 0-100. Never miss a must-watch World Cup game.

What is MIS?

Match Importance Score (MIS) is CupIndex's exclusive match importance rating system. The World Cup has 64 matches, but not all are equally important. MIS helps you quickly identify the most worth-watching games.

MIS rates from 0 to 100, with higher scores indicating more important matches. Finals, semi-finals, and other crucial matches typically have high MIS, but even group stage "must-win" games can score high.

How MIS Score is Calculated

How MIS Works

🧮Core Formula

// MIS = Stage + Balance + Bonus
MIS = S_stage + S_balance + S_bonus
// Balance Score
S_balance = 30 × (1 - |CSI_a - CSI_b| / 400)

S_stage = Stage base score (15-50)

S_balance = Strength balance score (0-30)

S_bonus = Bonus (qualifiers, etc.)
