CSI - Cup Strength Index
Learn how CupIndex's Cup Strength Index (CSI) rates team strength using an Elo-based algorithm. Understand our exclusive team power ranking methodology.
What is CSI?
Cup Strength Index (CSI) is CupIndex's exclusive team strength rating system. Unlike traditional FIFA rankings, CSI specifically measures a team's performance capability in cup knockout competitions.
CSI is based on the classic Elo rating algorithm, widely used in competitive games like chess. We've optimized it for football cup competitions to more accurately reflect a team's true strength in high-pressure matches.
